There was something incredibly wholesome in the atmosphere with lots of light and airy décor paired with flowers hanging form above. Their aesthetic made perfect sense when I discovered that they serve Florida grown locally sourced organic ingredients whenever they can and spread a message of sustainability. After doing my reaserch, I also discovered it’s a family business. I loved everything about the ambiance. I was meeting up with a good friend to catch up, but there were also people on their laptops working, and others there just for a quick bite between meetings. I love the idea of simple quality food, a fresh and youthful atmosphere, and right in the center of of an area of expensive designer stores and restaurants. In a way it sticks out within them all, but also fits perfectly, because it balances this area of Design District. Think of it like this, after a day of shipping -or window shopping- at Gucci, Cartier, and Dior, your can make your way back to Earth and ground yourself at Pura Vida. As I sat outside enjoying the spring weather under one of their adorable blue umbrellas with white fringe hanging from the ends, I began to ask myself, if we’re going to work hard to be rich, shouldn’t we at least buy plates of food that are rich in nutrients too?
