Hey Fashionistas! Spring has finally arrived and its all about pastels, fun prints, and tons of nail art. The 90’s are in full swing, so its time to get out your old butterfly clips. Read to see all the fashion trends you’ll want to jump on this season.
Pastels
This spring is going to be full of pastel colors, but specifically purple, yellow, and a light sage. Whether it is in your clothes or accessories, implementing pastel shades into your look will keep you right on trend.
Prints
There has never been a better time to take up thrifting as a new hobby, because prints are in. The most common place people are implementing prints are pants and outerwear. Specifically, floral Y2K prints and butterfly designs are right on trend. Prints are a very fun way to express yourself, so have fun with this one!
Cardigans
That nice Spring weather can always call for a light cardigan. This spring it’s all about the cropped cardigan. You can go for some fun Y2K prints or solid pastels. The best thing about them is that you can style them in lots of different ways. I’m seeing a lot of people wear it as shirt or with a matching top under.
Tanks
You can do a subtle lace detail for a dainty look, or a high neck line for a slightly more edgy vibe. You can definitely play with all the trending prints, but if you want to stay on trend with a solid tank, make sure it has that ribbed texture.
Pants
Alright people it is official, skinny jeans are dead! It’s all about the wide leg fit now. This is where 90’s style is really taking charge. Whether they are printed, a pastel shade, or just regular jeans, we are going to start seeing less rips and plenty of baggy pants.
Shorts
Say goodbye to tight booty shorts! Instead, go for a longer and looser fit. This spring is all about the loose bottoms paired with cute crop tops.
Hair
There are definitely a lot of fun hair trends for this spring. If you’re a 90’s kid, then its time to bring out your old butterfly clips. I’m seeing a lot of big claw clips for an up-do. Also, chunky headbands are in! You can play with your favorite retro prints and fun textures for this one.
Shoes
Sneaker culture is still going strong. While white sneakers aren’t necessarily gone, color is slowly being introduced more and more. Platform sandals are definitely making a come back! Lastly, strappy heals are right on trend. Specifically, I have been seeing lot of square and geometric shaped heals.
So what’s still in style?
Blazers & Sweater Vests
Blazers aren’t going away this Spring, but let’s start shifting to neutral colors. A white or nude colored blazer will prove very useful this season. If you want to be even more trendy, style a pastel pink, purple, or even sage blazer for a playful yet trendy look. As far as sweater vests go, they are still in, but with some slight adjustments. First, as the weather gets warmer people won’t be layering as much, instead opt for a cropped sweater vest you can wear as a shirt. Second, you will want to explore some fun prints & a lighter color scheme.
